Another photographer bites the dust in Brittain
She kind of seems like she may have been looking for this response, but I still don't think the police were justified... esp how they came up with "biking the wrong way down a one way street" from out of nowhere after only asking her about her filiming for 5 minutes... talk about a trumped up charge.

Brittain: Where I believe the GOP would like to lead us (in Big Brother aspects, if not health...)
This kind of story illustrates for me the truly dangerous large-government big-brother society that we should be worried about, but which republicans seem all too happy to be dragging the US towards. Anything in the name of security, huh? I like the charge: "Anti-social behavior" - what the hell does that mean???

Where we're headed?
Brittain has seemed to lead the way with surveillance cameras, and I know the US is already antagonistic towards photographers (I found out as much when I was photographing eagles near a dam last year near the MD-PA border), but hopefully it doesn't get this bad...

UK Police to destroy DNA profiles of 800,000 innocent people
Brittain does something good for people's rights for a change
"DNA profiles of almost a million innocent people are to be destroyed as part of a major overhaul of the police national database. They include people who have been arrested and never charged, and those taken to court but found not guilty."
