How can catholics stand by the church?
How do Catholics stand by priestly celebacy when it breeds such predatory behavior? How do they stand by papal infalliability when the Pope personally sanctioned such actions?
In 1993, with complaints about Father Murphy landing on his desk, Archbishop Weakland hired a social worker specializing in treating sexual offenders to evaluate him. After four days of interviews, the social worker said that Father Murphy had admitted his acts, had probably molested about 200 boys and felt no remorse.

Isn't it expected at this point? I think it'd be an interesting twist if the Pope was found to be directly involved in relocating abusive priests and facilitating their pedophilia, if only as yet another counter-example to the whole papal infallibility belief.
