Obama doesn't hate the troops
Radio and TV talker Glenn Beck (on May 25) said, "Obama is skipping out on a Memorial Day ceremony at Arlington Cemetery because he'll be in Chicago on vacation." On his show, Beck incorrectly asserted that the president "has decided not to honor our troops on Memorial Day."
Beck said, "Maybe this has happened before. I don't recall it."
"The critics were either ignorant of the facts or they failed to mention the 2007 Veterans Day ceremony when Vice President Dick Cheney spoke while President George W. Bush observed the holiday in Texas.
I agree with Glenn Beck on something???
On whether the Times Square bomber should be treated as a criminal or a terrorist, Beck and I are on the same side, whoa!

Looks like Jerry Falwell joined Beck's side in preaching against social justice... I like how he conveniently forgets the whole "Give to Caesar what is Caesar's part..." I'm curious too... they say that individuals should seek social justice and pursue their beliefs themselves, but that those religious beliefs of helping the poor should be part of the government... sounds like they want separation of Church and State? Oh, right, except when it comes to abortion, or evolution, or prayer, or christmas hymns in schools, or ... good thing republicans are completely constistant as usual...

I don't understand Beck's complaint... I guess he's unhappy that the song portrays average life in the USA as something other than amazing and shiny and happy...
Beck on "Barack"
BECK: He chose to use his name, Barack, for a reason. To identify, not with America -- you don't take the name Barack to identify with America. You take the name Barack to identify with what? Your heritage? The heritage, maybe, of your father in Kenya, who is a radical? Really? Searching for something to give him any kind of meaning, just as he was searching later in life for religion.
Palin-Beck 2012?
Looks like Glenn Beck doesn't like the idea of being 2nd to Palin:
"I was just thinking, what, I'm going to take a back seat to a chick?" Beck quipped, to laughter from the studio. "Go shoot a bear, make some stew, I'm hungry in here."
"I’m just saying, Beck-Palin, I’ll consider. But Palin-Beck -- can you imagine what an administration with the two of us would be like? She'd be yapping or something, I'd say, 'I'm sorry, why am I hearing your voice? I'm not in the kitchen.'
