Recent articles on the impact eating exercising on weight
Some good finds from mom... essentially saying...
- If you want to lose weight from exercise, you have to resist the temptation to eat more after a workout
- The required amount of exercise to be effective for weightloss is significant, around an hour or so per day of moderate intensity
- Some people (some men and many women) feel stronger urges to eat after exercise than others due to hormone response differences
- Once a new weight is attained, only moderate activity is required to maintain it, but if exercise isn't made a habit it is likely the subject will put the pounds back on
- Interestingly, in people who relapse, the "new" fat is different than the "old" fat - whereas the fat they lost may have come from their hips, butts, etc, the fat they gained is more likely to grow in their abdomen, where fat has been found to be more harmful
