Taser Danger?

"There's one thing that's undeniable -- that if I use my firearm, the chances are that you will suffer extreme injuries or death," said George Gascon, the newly installed police chief in San Francisco, California. "The chances are much greater of reducing injuries with a Taser."

I think that's true - tasers are less lethal than guns.  So in some cases when a gun would have been used in the past, a taser would be preferable.  Ok...  the problem is that tasers are a lot more lethal than talking to someone, or just physically holding them down or using your nightstick, and those are the situations that they're being used.  I would hope that if police were trained that tasers can in fact be lethal, the would be using them on little kids and grandmas who are just being uncooperative.
