Gunpowder Falls up 83, MD

Take 83 North, exit at Exit 27 Mt Carmel Road.  At the end of
the off ramp, you take a left at the traffic light.  You will cross
over 83 (which will be under you at this point), keep going and try
not to get back onto 83 accidentally, and take your first right
Masemore Road, a small rural road.  At one point, the road will become
a single lane road where both sides have to share the road, so please
proceed with precaution.  The drive is mostly downhill.  There is a
Masemore Mill, a stone building, on your right.  You have to take
blind right at the Mill - to do this, you must roll down your window
and maybe beep your horn gently, and listen to horns from the other
direction, and again proceed slowly with caution.....  The parking lot
is a few hundred feet past the mill, hard to miss at that point.
These direction may sound scary, but it really is not as bad as it
sounds..... After all our lab is well know for taking big risk, so
this is true to our spirit.....  I will be waiting there with our
hike leader at that the trail head, hopefully we can all get there by
9:45am and get started asap.

The Hike:  It'll be a simple non-challenging scenic 3 mile hike to the
Bunker Hill Camp ground where we will have our barbeque.  For some
part of the hike we will be hiking parallel to the Gunpowder Falls
river.
